Play Add to notepad Christian Jost: one smll step ...
(2002)
Instrumentation: orchestra
Categories: Orchestra Suspense USA Night Music
Description:
"...but a giant leap for mankind!" With these words Neill Armstron was the first man to set his foot on the Moon in 1969.

At the same time, five-year-old Chrsitian Jost sat in front of the TV at home in Germany and swore to become an Astronaut. But twenty years later, everything was different. Jost studied music and became a composer. Today he is one of the most successful German composers of the generation "Moon Landing".

However, his love to space is still there. Now, he sets it to music: One of these works is one small step... Ten tentative pulses represent the count-down (in our excerpt unserem it is the last three of them) then the launch vehicle leaves the launch pad and explores unknown terrain. DThe pulse, however, remains throughout the whole piece.
