| Description: |
| In 'zeroPoints' the Hungarian composer Peter Eötvös shows again his ability as a master of original orchestration. According to his own words, he links a chain of beginnings with the nine 'zeroPoints' created in 1999 'in order to leave the zero point of the new millennium in rather different ways, suggesting only which direction it might take'. The virtuoso piece fascinates by the change of similar source material in colour. Eötvös evokes memories of the powerful rhythm, energy and liveliness of Hungarian music; clearly audible is Eötvös' joy to shape new effective sounds like a sculptor. |
