| Description: |
Concierto Madrigal by the grandmaster among the Spanish composers, Joaquín Rodrigo, consists of ten movements. These represent either a 'singing' or 'dancing' style. Among the dance movements the "Giradilla" is at the same time the most fervent and exceeds the dramatic content of the Fandango. It evokes images of pursuits and fights, never gets too dark but keeps a positive appeal. The two solo guitars alternate in forming the 'motor' of the music and share small melodic lines with the other instruments of the orchestra.
