| Description: |
'O Fortuna' – the world-famous bombastic beginning of 'Carmina Burana', accentuated by booming percussion, the invocation of the capricious goddess of fate. Even after listening to this introit a hundred times, shivers run down our spines. Composed in 1935-1936, Carl Orff's work is one of the most frequently performed choral and orchestral works of contemporary music and, as major classical open-air event, has elicited thunderous applause from the audience in recent years.
The largest companies of the the worls such as Nestlé, Daimler-Chrysler, Procter & Gamble, Adidas-Salomon/Reebok, Pepsi and Australian brewery Foster's have used 'O Fortuna' for ads of their most important brands.
