The trumpet concerto Eirene is a part of the Montafon cycle which is dedicated to composer Herbert Willi's home. Montafon is a group of mountains in the Austrian region Vorarlberg and forms a unique scenery with the change of light and shadows.
The enormous size of the mountains and the the landscape are reflected in these works. But they show also the composer's very personal view.
Our sound clip is almost beyond time. The plane string sound is sometimes interrupted by the trumpet whilst harmony and melody derives from the Harmonic series which creates a feeling of eternity and bein close to nature.
