Wild, virgin nature, sunrises in the mountains – this is the world of the Austrian composer Herbert Willi. In his work 'Rondino', an interlude from the opera 'Schlafes Bruder' created in 1994/95 and based on the novel of the same name by Robert Schneider, the listener hears an impressive description of nature. The first rays of sun are rising above the mountains, the light becomes brighter and brighter until half of the sun can be seen in the sky. The more instruments are added, the brighter the music becomes. Eventually, everything is shining brightly, and a new day dawns.
